From a student who broke their hand and has been struggling to do school work. They left a message on my phone just now. Apparently, preemptively informing me of not doing homework will excuse you in every way… which it will. 
Moose, I wasn’t able to finish my homework. I’m calling tonight, so you won’t be mad tomorrow.
